WASHINGTON (AFP) — The United States said Wednesday it was “speechless” after Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad voiced doubts about the accepted version of the September 11, 2001 attacks on New York and Washington. واشنطن (اف ب) -- قالت الولايات المتحدة الاربعاء انها "speechless" بعد الرئيس الايراني محمود أحمدي نجاد اعرب عن شكوك حول الصيغة المقبولة من 11 ايلول / سبتمبر 2001 من الهجمات على نيويورك وواشنطن.

“I am not sure what you say about a statement like that. "ولست متأكدا ما تقوله عن بيان من هذا القبيل. It leaves one speechless,” said State Department spokesman Sean McCormack. ولا يترك احد speechless "، قال الناطق باسم وزارة الخارجية شون ماكورماك.

“It is just misguided, misinformed rhetoric,” McCormack said. "ما هو خاطئ ، معلومات خاطءه والخطاب" وقال ماكورماك.

“I cannot tell whether or not it is something that he truly believes or if this is just an attempt to try to shake up public opinion in Iran or elsewhere,” McCormack said. "لا استطيع ان اقول ما اذا كان او لم يكن شيء انه يعتقد حقا او اذا كان هذا هو مجرد محاولة لمحاولة زعزعة الراي العام حتى في ايران او في أي مكان آخر ،" وقال ماكورماك.

Earlier Wednesday, Ahmadinejad called the 9/11 attacks a “suspect event” in a speech at a public rally in the holy city of Qom. فى وقت سابق الاربعاء ، دعا احمدي نجاد فإن 9 / 11 هجمات "المشتبه فيه الحدث" في كلمة القاها في اجتماع عمومي في مدينة قم المقدسة.

“Four or five years ago a suspect event took place in New York,” Ahmadinejad said, in an address carried live on state television. "اربع او خمس سنوات قبل احد المشتبه فيهم حاله وقعت في نيويورك ،" وقال احمدي نجاد ، في خطاب القاه في العيش التي تقوم على تليفزيون الدولة.

“A building collapsed and they said that 3,000 people had been killed, whose names were never published.” "مبنى انهار وقالت ان 3000 شخص قد قتلوا ، الذين وردت اسماؤهم تنشر ابدا".

“Under this pretext they (the United States) attacked Afghanistan and Iraq and since then a million people have been killed,” said the Iranian president. "في اطار هذا بحجه انهم (الولايات المتحدة) هاجمت افغانستان والعراق ، ومنذ ذلك الحين من مليون شخص قد قتلوا" ، قال الرئيس الايراني.

This was the third time in just over a week that Ahmadinejad has publicly raised doubts about the September 11 airborne attacks on New York and Washington carried out by Al-Qaeda militants which killed nearly 3,000 people. هذه هي المرة الثالثة في اسبوع او اكثر قليلا ان احمدي نجاد علنا اثار الشكوك حول المحموله جوا هجمات 11 ايلول / سبتمبر على نيويورك وواشنطن التي تقوم بها القاعده المسلحين مما ادى الى مقتل ما يقارب 3000 شخص.

He raised the theme for the first time at a ceremony on April 8, Iran’s national day marking its disputed nuclear program, which the West fears could be used to make nuclear weapons. وطرح الموضوع للمرة الاولى خلال احتفال اقيم يوم 8 نيسان / ابريل ، اليوم الوطني لايران بمرور البرنامج النووي المتنازع عليها ، والتي يخشى الغرب يمكن ان يستخدم لصنع الاسلحة النووية.

The president of Iran at the time of the 9/11 attacks, Mohammad Khatami, strongly condemned the assault. رئيس ايران في ذلك الوقت من 9 / 11 الاعتداءات ، محمد خاتمي ، وأدان بشدة الاعتداء. Tehran did not oppose the US-led invasion of Afghanistan that toppled the Taliban regime, which was hostile to the Iranian government. طهران لا تعارض التى تقودها الولايات المتحدة ان غزو أفغانستان الى اسقاط نظام طالبان ، التي كانت معاديه للحكومة الايرانيه.
