BAGHDAD — Amid tears and wails, mourners in the southern city of Najaf on Tuesday began burying victims from a suicide bombing that killed nearly 50 worshipers and injured dozens just before evening prayers Monday in nearby Karbala. بغداد -- وسط البكاء والعويل ، على المشيعين في جنوب مدينة النجف يوم الثلاثاء بدأ دفن الضحايا من تفجير انتحارى أسفر عن مقتل ما يقرب من 50 وجرح عشرات المصلين قبل صلاة المساء الاثنين في المنطقة القريبه من كربلاء.

This month, an exhaustive Pentagon-sponsored review of more than 600,000 Iraqi documents captured during the 2003 US invasion found no evidence that Hussein’s regime had any operational links with al Qaeda. هذا الشهر ، شاملة برعايه البنتاغون استعراض اكثر من 600000 وثائق عراقيه أسروا خلال الغزو الامريكى لعام 2003 لم يعثر على أي دليل على أن حسين كان التنفيذية اي روابط مع تنظيم القاعده.

”So the United States made a decision: to hunt down the evil of terrorism and kill it where it grows, to hold the supporters of terror to account and to confront regimes that harbor terrorists and threaten the peace,” Cheney said. Cheney later traveled to Irbil, the capital of the mostly autonomous Kurdish region, for a meeting with Kurdish leader Massoud Barzani, before flying to Oman. وصل تشيني لاحقا الى اربيل ، عاصمة للمعظمهم من منطقة الحكم الذاتي الكرديه ، لعقد اجتماع مع الزعيم الكردي مسعود برزاني ، قبل ان تطير الى عمان.

Meanwhile, at the graveyard in Najaf, police restricted funerals to eight family members, out of fears that the funerals would become a target for attacks. وفي الوقت ذاته ، في مقبره النجف والشرطة يقتصر التشييع الى ثمانيه افراد الاسرة ، من مخاوف من ان التشييع سوف تصبح هدفا لهجمات. Emotions ran high among mourners of the bombing victims. يتعارض مع العواطف العالية من بين المشيعين من ضحايا القصف. One man draped himself over a coffin and sobbed, “My father, my father.” رجل واحد draped نفسه تابوت وناشج ، "والدي ، والدي".
”Security forces have been negligent in securing the city and the pilgrims,” said Mohamed Hassan Ali, who buried his cousin, a policeman who was killed in the blast. The Baghdad reconciliation conference was intended to bring the country’s warring factions to the negotiating table. مؤتمر المصالحة في بغداد وكان يهدف الى ابراز البلد الفصائل المتحاربه الى طاولة المفاوضات. But only half of the 700 invited guests showed up, and any real chance for negotiations dissolved when both the leading Sunni Muslim bloc and the powerful faction loyal to the rebel Shiite Muslim cleric Muqtada al Sadr announced boycotts. ولكن فقط نصف من 700 حتى اظهر الضيوف المدعوين ، واي فرصة حقيقية للمفاوضات عندما حل على حد سواء مما ادى الكتلة الاسلامية السنيه القويه وفصيل المتمردين الموالين لرجل الدين المسلم الشيعي مقتدي الصدر اعلن Al المقاطعه.
”We entered the conference to reaffirm our support for national reconciliation, and we left to show our rejection of all these fake conferences,” Nassar al Rubaiye, a Sadr-allied lawmaker, said of the walkout. Sunni lawmakers boycotted because they believe Maliki hasn’t made good on pledges to disband Shiite militias, release detainees not charged with crimes and include Sunni legislators in security decisions. المشرعون السنيه مقاطعتها لانها تعتقد المالكي لم تقدم جيد على تعهدات بحل الميليشيات الشيعيه ، واطلاق سراح المعتقلين المتهمين بارتكاب جرائم لا تشمل السني والمشرعين في اتخاذ القرارات الامنية.
Members of Sadr’s militant Shiite movement said they walked out because of the lack of dialogue in preparations, a crackdown on Sadr’s forces in the south and to protest thousands of Iraqi detainees in US custody. اعضاء الصدر الشيعيه المسلحه للحركة وقال انها خرجت بسبب عدم وجود حوار فى الاعمال التحضيريه ، واتخاذ اجراءات صارمه ضد قوات الصدر في الجنوب وللاحتجاج على الآلاف من المعتقلين العراقيين في حجز الولايات المتحدة.
Across the board, there were complaints of late invitations, snubs and general disarray. عبر المجلس ، كانت هناك شكاوى من الدعوات فى وقت متأخر ، ويزجر العام فوضى. Even Wathab Shaker, head of the parliament’s national reconciliation committee, said he was left out of all planning for the conference. حتى wathab شاكر ، رئيس مجلس النواب لجنة المصالحة الوطنية ، وقال انه تم استبعاد كل من التخطيط للمؤتمر. A car bomb outside an electronics store in Mosul killed three and wounded 40, the US military said. انفجار سيارة مفخخة خارج متجر الكترونيات فى الموصل الى مقتل ثلاثة وجرح 40 ، قالت الولايات المتحدة العسكرية.
